Baseball Recap: Iroquois West Wins Going Away Against Fisher

After losing to Fisher the last time they met, Iroquois West decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders put the hurt on the Bunnies with a sharp 12-1 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

The team relied heavily on Izzy Alvarez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Iroquois West's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Andrade, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Iroquois West now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fisher, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
