Barian Strickland Turns in Season-Best Effort

Barian Strickland produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Northern Nash to the win on Friday. Strickland's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 133 rushing yards dating back to last season. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.

The victory for Northern Nash keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Strickland will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Nash Central on Friday.

While Tyler Perry delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Bunn. Despite the loss, Perry was still balling out as he rushed for 130 yards on only 13 carries.

Bunn dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Perry and Bunn will face off against Southern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Northern Nash Gets a Boost from Eatmon in 70-7 Win

Northern Nash picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Myles Eatmon. Eatmon was dynamite, rushing for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

This season, Eatmon has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 136.2 rushing yards per game.

Rocky Mount found a leader in Tavoris Parker as the squad took down Nash Central on Friday. Parker did his part (and then some), making 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss) for the 'W'. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.

For the season, Parker has averaged 6.7 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 14.83 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 54.5 rushing yards.

Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Walter Royster

Walter Royster produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Franklinton to the win on Friday. Royster made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (two) he has had since back in September of 2023. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.

Franklinton moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Royster and Franklinton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Northern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
