Canyon came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against East Central, but William Franklin wouldn't allow it. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 68-65 with plenty of help from Franklin, who shot 73% from the field to rack up 25 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jay Crosby, who posted five points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for East Central and bumps their season record up to 19-13. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-11.
