Branson is 8-1-1 against Hillcrest since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Branson will be strutting in after a win while Hillcrest will be coming in after a defeat.

Branson not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Bolivar as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Liberators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Branson was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest lost 3-0 to West Plains on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Zizzers: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18-2. As for Branson, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Branson has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Branson beat Hillcrest 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
