The third road contest was the charm for the Benedictine Cadets, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Hilton Head Island with a 49-43 victory on Wednesday. This was payback for Benedictine, who suffered a 45-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Benedictine's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Jones, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ejay Washington was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
The win got Benedictine back to even at 3-3. As for Hilton Head Island, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
