Basketball Recap: Gates County Find Success + How To Watch

Gates County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over the Northampton County Jaguars. This was payback for the Red Barons, who suffered a 54-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

Northampton County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was WILLIAM WHITAKER, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was BRAYDEN PARKER, who put up 12 points.

Gates County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Gates County will welcome Peninsula Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Barons will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Northampton County, they will head out to take on Bertie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
