Soccer Game Preview: Spoto vs. Armwood

The Spoto Spartans will square off against the Armwood Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, everything went Spoto's way against Jefferson as Spoto made off with a 6-2 victory. It was an even better day for Nelson Ramirez as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Armwood won against Blake back in December of 2024 with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. Armwood walked away with a 4-2 win over East Bay. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly two goals.

Spoto pushed their record up to 3-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Armwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-2.

Spoto skirted past Armwood 3-2 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Does Spoto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Armwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
