Volleyball Recap: Oakland Comes Up Short

Oakland lost against Castro Valley back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oakland Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Castro Valley Trojans. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Oakland couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Castro Valley a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 31-29.

Oakland's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Castro Valley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Oakland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Piedmont on the 8th. As for Castro Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hayward at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
