Basketball Recap: Covenant Life Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

The Covenant Life Cougars came out on top against the Greater Grace Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 69-60 on Tuesday thanks in part to Melendez, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Elijah Hughes was another key player, putting up 13 points and six blocks. Those six blocks gave him a new career-high.

Covenant Life is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Greater Grace Christian Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.
