Softball Recap: Pocahontas Comes Up Short

Pocahontas has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.78 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Storm Lake Tornadoes. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Pocahontas' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Storm Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Pocahontas will square off against Newell-Fonda on Thursday. As for Storm Lake, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cherokee Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
