Volleyball Recap: Jordan Sao Rodriguez and Cruz Hibbard Secure Win for Beyer

Beyer not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 24th. Everything went their way against the Pacheco Panthers as the Beyer Patriots made off with a 3-0 win. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Beyer was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-15.

Leading Beyer to victory were Cruz Hibbard and Jordan Sao Rodriguez. Hibbard had ten assists and four aces, while Sao Rodriguez had five assists and four aces. That's the most aces Sao Rodriguez has posted over his last nine contests.

They weren't the only good server: Beyer was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Beyer's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Pacheco, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Beyer will be playing at home against Ripon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ripon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Beyer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pacheco, they will venture away from home to challenge Merced at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pacheco is facing Merced at the right time seeing as Merced is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
