Alamosa had won seven straight games and Jaelin Garcia did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Alamosa Mean Moose walked away with a 38-30 victory over the Pagosa Springs Pirates thanks in part to Garcia, who went 8-for-10 en route to 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Pagosa Springs still got an impressive performance from Elizabeth Currier, who posted 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Currier has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Amber Snarr was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Alamosa pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Pagosa Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.

Alamosa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 39-30 defeat against Centauri on the 28th. As for Pagosa Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 57-26 victory against Bayfield on the 1st.
