Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Riverview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bears will welcome the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Jefferson will be strutting in after a win while Riverview will be coming in after a defeat.

Five must be Jefferson's lucky number: they beat Summerfield with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Bears beat the Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Carlson hit Riverview with a four-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates lost 12-5 to the Marauders. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Marauders: they've now lost four in a row.

Riverview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Minnick, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The win got Jefferson back to even at 9-9. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.
