Soccer Recap: Smithfield Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Smithfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monacan Chiefs on Tuesday. Smithfield have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Smithfield's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Monacan, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-5-1.

As of now, neither Smithfield nor the Chiefs have any future games scheduled.
