Recap: Bryan County Redskins vs. Screven County Gamecocks

The Bryan County Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. They took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-22 win over Screven County. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Bryan County has managed all season.

Several Gamecocks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaliah Roberts, who scored seven points. Roberts scored a full 31.8% of Screven County's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Bryan County pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Screven County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Bryan County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southeast Bulloch at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. Southeast Bulloch comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Screven County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Burke County at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th. Burke County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Screven County is ranked 161st).
