Grace Christian extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 12-3 in the process. They came out on top against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights by a score of 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Victoria Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Pugh, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On North Raleigh Christian Academy's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Olivia McCoy gave up just two earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian will challenge Wayne Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will face off against Ravenscroft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
