Football Recap: White Oak Roughnecks vs. Pewitt Brahmas
White Oak won the last time they faced Pewitt, and Jaxsen Ludlow did his part to make sure it happened again. The Roughnecks secured a 30-26 W over the Brahmas on Friday with plenty of help from Ludlow, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 200 yards and a pair of TDs. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 75 yards.
White Oak didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cal Jester and Tyson Mckinney. Levi Sipes was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Although Pewitt took the loss, they still got scores from Kd Watson, Zahkevion Betts, and Cade Nix.
White Oak has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.0 points this season. As for Pewitt, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
White Oak wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 63-13 win against Quitman on the 11th. As for Pewitt, they have also already played their next matchup, a 40-35 victory against Redwater on the 12th.
