Basketball Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington lost against Northwest Catholic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Farmington River Hawks were outmatched by the Northwest Catholic Lions and fell 86-43. While losing is never fun, the River Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Lions are ranked fifth).

Farmington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Northwest Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Farmington will square off against Lewis Mills at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Catholic has already played their next contest (against Hall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
