Preview: Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Central Dauphin East Panthers
The Carlisle Thundering Herd will head out on the road to face off against the Central Dauphin East Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Carlisle is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central Dauphin East in Pennsylvania (Carlisle is ranked 37th, while Central Dauphin East is ranked 429th).
Carlisle unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carlisle has scored all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Central Dauphin East, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-53 loss to Cumberland Valley on Tuesday.
Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Central Dauphin East, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Carlisle was able to grind out a solid victory over Central Dauphin East in their previous matchup back in January, winning 73-60. Does Carlisle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Dauphin East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
