Basketball Recap: Spooner Comes Up Short

Spooner was the 51-41 winner over Ashland when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spooner Rails took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashland Oredockers on Friday. The Rails have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ashland, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9.

Spooner will square off against Bloomer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashland, they will challenge Barron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
