Kauai hadn't done well against Island recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Kauai Red Raiders put the hurt on Island with a sharp 6-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won three contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Kauai has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4-1 Waimea and 0-3-1 Island (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.8% over those games). As for Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5-1.
