Avon Park is 0-10 against Sebring since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field against the Blue Streaks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Sebring will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Avon Park extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Davenport. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Paisley Macias was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Janely Ayala was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kinley DeLoach was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Avon Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davenport only posted a batting average of .208.
Meanwhile, Sebring never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Auburndale 9-0. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Streaks in their matchups with the Bloodhounds: they've now won four in a row.
Like Avon Park, Sebring also got a great game from a two-way player: Tera Lynn Price. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Price was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cailyn McWaters, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Hackett, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Sebring's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Avon Park, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
