Basketball Recap: Bentley Piles Up the Points Against Summit Tamalpais

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bentley). They blew past the Summit Tamalpais Timberwolves, posting a 99-24 victory. While the Phoenix didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bentley had a senior duo take command as Paul Foster went 13-for-21 en route to 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals and Max Westen shot 71% from the field on his way to 23 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foster has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Indio Rai, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 16 points and seven boards.

Bentley was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bentley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points over those games. As for Summit Tamalpais, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Bentley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-27 win against Concord on the 16th. As for Summit Tamalpais, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-57 loss against Leadership Public Schools Richmond on the 15th.
