 The Clifton Central Comets will head out on the road to  take on  the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Clifton Central beat Iroquois West 38-32. Despite the  win, that was the fewest points Clifton Central has scored all season.
 Clifton Central can attribute much of their success to   Blake Chandler, who  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals, and   Aidan Podowicz, who  scored seven points along with five  assists and two  steals. Podowicz hasn't dropped below two  steals for nine straight games.
 Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara entered their tilt with Marquette with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. Bishop McNamara enjoyed a cozy  60-41 victory over Marquette on Thursday.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Clifton Central and  bumps their season record up to 19-11. As for Bishop McNamara, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record  this season.
 Clifton Central took a serious blow against Bishop McNamara  in their previous meeting  back in December of 2023, falling  78-51. That  match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clifton Central was down  45-25.
