Basketball Recap: Howell North Takes a Loss

Howell North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Howell Central Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Spartans are ranked 143rd).

Howell North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Howell Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Howell North will challenge Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Howell North has given up an average of 60.2 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Howell Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
