Preview: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Dacula Falcons
Collins Hill is on a three-game streak of home losses, Dacula a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Collins Hill Eagles will take on the Dacula Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dacula took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Collins Hill, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Collins Hill never let their opponents score. They blew past Central Gwinnett, posting a 35-0 victory on the road. Given Collins Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Central Gwinnett is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Collins Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tj Wilcox out in front who threw for 137 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Johnigan, who gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Dacula fell victim to Mill Creek's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Hawks 41-0. The contest was a close 3-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Dacula it sure didn't stay that way.
Collins Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Dacula, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Collins Hill took a serious blow against Dacula in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 48-9. Will Collins Hill have more luck at home instead of on the road?
