Football Game Preview: Delta Panthers vs. Brush Beetdiggers + How To Watch

The Delta Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Brush Beetdiggers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Delta's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Coal Ridge to the tune of 34-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jhett Ryan had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 150 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. MACK Lockhart also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.

Delta's run defense was locked in: Coal Ridge could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Lockhart for the heroic effort on defense: he. Delta didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.4.

Delta's defense didn't let Dylan Miller, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Landon Hamm, ELIJAH Lah, and SCOTT Floyd, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Brush got the win against The Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 35-12.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jolani Thomas and Dylan Krob. Thomas rushed for 164 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.3 yards per carry while Krob rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Krob also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 0.5 sacks and making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Delta's record now sits at 7-2. As for Brush, their record is now 9-0.

Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Delta has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 203.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brush struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 341.3 rushing yards.
