Softball Recap: Galva Wildcats vs. Orion Chargers

Galva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-6 to the Orion Chargers. Galva was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Orion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Kaylyn Gale made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Lilly Wigant was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

On Orion's side, Hannah Swope was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Swope has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Swope was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
