Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Greenbrier walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jackson County Panthers a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. Greenbrier might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Jackson County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Madelyn Heckathorn, Presley McDermott, and Mackenzie Canady.

The win (which was Greenbrier's ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those nine games. As for Jackson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Coming up, Greenbrier will take on Lassiter on Monday. Lassiter will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Greenbrier surely won't give up without a fight. Jackson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
