Baseball Recap: Angleton Gets the Win

Angleton won the last time they faced Texas City and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Stingarees 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Kade Estrada, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Angleton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 13-14-1 otherwise.

Angleton's victory bumped their record up to 17-14-1. As for Texas City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.

Angleton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Santa Fe on the 25th. Texas City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
