Softball Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-0 to the Hackleburg Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Hackleburg, their record now sits at 15-5.

When Phillips and Hackleburg next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Bears will challenge Winfield and their six-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hackleburg will try to stop Sulligent's five-game winning streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Blue Devils a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
