The Comets blew past the Pirates 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Comets yet this season.

West Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Alburnett, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
