Volleyball Recap: Artesia Takes a Loss

Artesia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Oxford Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-8.

Artesia's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Oxford Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Artesia will face off against rival Glenn at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oxford Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Cerritos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
