Prairie State recap September 17, 2013

South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville took down Bunker Hill 55-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Austin Tryon threw for 154 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 24 yards during the win.

The Ponies led Prairie State in scoring this week by notching 55 points on the Minutemen. Tryon in the win.

Tryon and Tyler Murphy gave South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Justin Felton also contributed to the rushing game with 72 yards on the ground.

Tryon and Murphy gave Drew Woodruff's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.

Brenden O'Neal was the best wideout in the league this week as Mt. Olive fell to Marquette Catholic. O'Neal tallied 7 receptions for 131 yards.

He went 7-13 with 1 interceptions.

Jacob Neihaus was a passing and rushing force as the Wildcats lost to the Explorers. He completed 15 passes for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 142 yards.

Tryon put up the best numbers in passing as the Ponies defeated Bunker Hill. Tryon's favorite target this week was Brody Walton, who caught 3 passes for 55 yards.

Murphy was the best running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 161 yards as South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville lost to Marquette Catholic.

The top two teams in Prairie State will face off this week when first place Nokomis/Ramsey takes on second place Mt. Olive.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Josh Martin's team takes on Nokomis/Ramsey. The Wildcats' offense has scored 143 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Redskins have allowed only 0 on the year.

Mt. Olive made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,650 from 11,015. The improvement came about via a 48-40 victory over the Wildcats last week.
