Basketball Recap: Whitehall Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Whitehall extended their road winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Camden Thompson. The Whitehall Vikings simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Ludington Orioles 83-56 thanks in part to Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 boards. His evening made it 23 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Corde Anderson, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 13 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Whitehall's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Ludington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Whitehall and Ludington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Whitehall will take on Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 46 places (49 vs. 3). Similarly, Ludington (ranked 240th) will meet Traverse City West (ranked 23rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
