Soccer Game Preview: Petoskey vs. Traverse City Central

The Petoskey Northmen will face off against the Traverse City Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Petoskey is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Petoskey's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cadillac by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Petoskey's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Cadillac are ranked 299th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Traverse City Central was forced to settle for a draw. They and Traverse City West finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

With that draw, Traverse City Central's record moves to 4-6-1. As for Petoskey, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Petoskey skirted past Traverse City Central 2-1 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Northmen repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
