Basketball Recap: Ford Gilliam's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Reed over Timberline + How To Watch

The Reed Raiders ended up a good deal behind the Timberline Wolves on Friday and lost 58-41. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Reed's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ford Gilliam, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. The Raiders are 2-1 when Gilliam posts three or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Hoffman, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points.

Reed's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Timberline, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Reed won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kuna at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Kavemen have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Timberline, they and Post Falls will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
