Softball Recap: Lawton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Lawton waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Pennfield Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since May 18, 2024.

Aubri Conklin made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Conklin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Kaidence Beam was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Lawton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive contests.

Lawton's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Pennfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
