Baseball Preview: Everett Vikings vs. Waverly Warriors
The Everett Vikings will head out to square off against the Waverly Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Waverly took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Everett, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Everett made easy work of Ypsilanti and carried off a 10-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Isaiah Fundunburks was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Owen Prevo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Everett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Lakewood, falling 13-3.
Everett's record now sits at 2-7. As for Waverly, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Everett might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Waverly when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
