Volleyball Recap: South Bend Career Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Bend Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-16, 25-12.

South Bend Career Academy's offense was headlined by Jazlynn Peate and Zion Taylor, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Cooper and her nine assists. Peate was also a major player on defense: she and Alana Dirst shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Fort Wayne Canterbury can attribute much of their success to Caroline Hirschy, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hirschy has posted since back in October of 2024.

South Bend Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

South Bend Career Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Triton on the 2nd. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fort Wayne North Side on the 29th.
