Calan Platt posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Even though Platt couldn't lead Paradise Valley over Youngker, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Platt's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Trojans' four-game streak of wins at home.
