Softball Recap: Jacobs Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jacobs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Dundee-Crown Chargers by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-7 back in April.

Skylee Ferrante spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kate Takasaki, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Jacobs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Jacobs back to even at 14-14. As for Dundee-Crown, they dropped their record down to 8-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
