Basketball Recap: Vineland Comes Up Short

If Vineland was riding high fresh off their 61-30 takedown of Cedar Creek last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vineland Fighting Clan took a 58-42 bruising from the Egg Harbor Township Eagles on Thursday. The Fighting Clan haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Vineland fell to 2-1. As for Egg Harbor Township, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vineland will be home for the holidays to greet Bridgeton at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Egg Harbor Township, they will welcome Shawnee at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
