Baseball Recap: Richard Comes Up Short

Richard lost against University Liggett on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pioneers came up short against the Knights, falling 10-2. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Richard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Toucher, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Toucher brought in this season.

Richard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for University Liggett, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richard will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for University Liggett, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Detroit Country Day at 4:00 p.m.
