It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mater Lakes Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes as they made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 11 games by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Pompano Beach with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carlos Sela (2), Gabriel Zapata (2), and Fernando Carrasco.

The win (which was Mater Lakes Academy's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 49 goals over those eight matches. As for Pompano Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-12-1 record this season.

Mater Lakes Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against TERRA Environmental on the 7th. Pompano Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
