Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Immanuel Christian lost against Baker back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Immanuel Christian Crusaders were dealt a 63-23 defeat at the hands of the Baker Braves. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Anthony Ortiz, who went 12 of 19 on his way to 28 points and seven steals for Baker. With that strong performance, Ortiz is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Ibarra, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals.

Immanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Baker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Immanuel Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lone Pine at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baker, they will challenge Immanuel Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
