Basketball Recap: West Albany Comes Up Short

West Albany and Springfield squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but West Albany had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Springfield Millers. The Bulldogs have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

West Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springfield beat West Albany by a score of 56-55 on Friday.
