Recap: Union Grove Wolverines vs. Clarke Central Gladiators
Make it nine blowout wins for the Union Grove Wolverines this season. They blew past Clarke Central 66-33 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Union Grove who now have 11 in a row.
Union Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Brooks led the charge by scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Brooks hasn't dropped below two steals for 18 straight games. Another player making a difference was Nadea Smith, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Union Grove's victory bumped their record up to 22-1. As for Clarke Central, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Union Grove and Dutchtown will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dutchtown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Union Grove is ranked eighth). As for Clarke Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Heritage at 6:00 p.m.
