Basketball Recap: Herndon Extends Winning Streak to Four

Herndon proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 46) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Middletown Knights, sneaking past 65-63. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Herndon, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Middletown, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

Herndon and Middletown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings.
