Softball Recap: West Mesquite Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Mesquite can now relate to. They came up short against the Lake Belton Broncos on Thursday, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Thursday.

West Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Lake Belton, the win was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-2.

While West Mesquite had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
